hi ,this is my first post so bear with me please .i would like some information on using a laptop in the field for looking up tengrafh and using a moving map to stay on legal ground.i have just started prospecting again after anearly 25 year break.have equipted myself with a 5k and extra coils ,gps,satphone etcbut would like to have some form of internet service as well.all info will be appreciated ..regards ron..

Hi Ron,
Welcome to the forum.
Moving map with OziExplorer doesn't require Internet connection if you have the area maps installed.
Internet for Tengraph is very hit miss in the WA goldfields.
Mobile connection also iffy in most areas.

hi peter , thanks for the information, i was talking to geoff at reeds afew months ago and had an idea from him that it wasn't that hard to do. maybe do some more research and see what happens..thanks again ..ron
