Is there a book or maps that can be recommended show the where abouts of public fossicking areas in NSW or Aust?

If you are looking for the declared fossicking districts in NSW and crown land i would suggest TASMAP http://www.minerals.nsw.gov.au/tasmap/TasmapController?cmd=login Takes a few minutes to learn the functions but is a very handy tool and has exatly what you want. When you have the layers and info you want you can even save the page and layer it on google earth. hope it helps.
