Hi im new to this hobby of gold prospecting but i love the idea of getting away up the bush and enjoying an nice relaxing weekend looking for that elusive yellow metal.

Im from Sale, but would like to meet people around the area that are willing to share their knowledge and teach me.

Hi, I'm near Ensay, though also newby may i suggest doing an online search for East Gippsland Gold Fields, some names you might check out include Haunted Stream, Sterling, Dargo, Crooked River. Omeo Goldfield, Cassilis, Bulumwaal, Boggy Creek, Yahoo Creek, Deptford, Glen Wills and online Gippsland mineral assessment report. Also you might find < http://maps.bonzle.com/c/a > useful maps
