Dunolly North East
Hi All
Hope this give you a kick in the pants to get you out there looking.
Here is a small selection of a large Google map I have of Dunolly and the surrounding area, this part is the Dunolly North East area and have plotted the large nuggets that were found in the early days the locations are the one's plotted on the Quarter Sheet of Dunolly.
This map is Ozi-Explorer ready.
As well have left the map Image as a Bmp. file so as if you don't have Ozi you can still view it and print it.
Map Details
Google Map image is 1.5kLm above the area.
Layers on Map
Large Gold nuggets find
25 & 50 & 70 & 17 & 10 & 11oz's Zone54 741455,5918839
Hard Hills 54H 741237 5919718
10 oz's 54H 741746 5916657
45-60 oz's 54H 743537 5918433
50-60 oz's 54H 743591 5918626

204 oz's 54H 743016 5917108
30 oz's 54H 742999 5916959
I run all these Google maps on my Mio GPS Car Navigator with the nugget finds in my POI so I let the Mio take me to the find location.
If you would like this map with the Minesite located and Reefs and other then I will post that up as well.
This Image is 30MB Download sorry if it's to big for sum.

Re: Dunolly North East
Here is another Google Map ozi-explorer ready
This map is alot bigger then the last one with a lot more Mine data loaded onto it like Currant ML Mine & Reefs overlay as well as the last one locations of large Nuggets that have been found by the early days of mining
Yellow Plots are the old large nuggets finds
White Plots are Mine Data
White Line are Reef line's with the Name's of Reef
Red Line are the Currant ML
Sorry if the map is of large size for some to download but to me the bigger the map the better for viewing Data on and how it lays out and along the line on how gold is spread.
Keep in mind to were these big nuggets were found and remember that they started some were before they bedded themselfs in these lower flats of the Gullies, working the slope's along these gullies would today with the great machine that ML have brought out would uncover more.
Map size>75MB
Map area 12.2KM X 6KM
Map Square 73.8KM Square
Download Links
I can only hope that they are some help to you and make it your luckly Christmas.
Good Hunting.

To all that have download it
I am glad that it should be some help to you all but why stop now here is the link now to download the Ozi-Explorer Track file's for that map and they are as below
1) Shallow Ground > which is in Pink Color
2) Leads > which is in Light Green
Now all they need is someone with the ML 4500 to go and give them a good pumping with a big coil and found some of those big nuggets that are still there

I downloaded the track file with the different colours, no problems. After downloading you need to unzip it and put it where Oziexplerer can find it when you do what Detrack said. "Open Ozi up goto the tool bar across the top click on >Load>then down to>Load track from File(multi)
Find the tracks that you downloaded and select one then click open you should see them on the Dunolly North East Google Map you downloaded."
All works like magic

Re: Dunolly North East
Then you may not have the show track turn on to do this look across your tool bar you will see what I have posted up on the pic.
You need to click on it to show track on screen and if you click it again it will hide tracks off screen.

Hello Detrack,
I downloaded your map file above ( thank you ) and put it in my map file in Oziexplorer. When I go to load the map and I click on the file, I get the message "Cannot find the image file".
Do you know what I might have done wrong?
Thanks,
Jigalong.

here are the two links again.
Links been deleted see first post for map links

Dunolly Ozi tracks for Detrackozi
17th Feb 09
Hello David (Detrackozi)
Please can you help me sort out a download situation in OziExplorer?
One of your files of Dunolly Ozi tracks, is a .plt file and is in the OziExplorer>Maps>Dunolly Ozi Tracks folder.
By following your instructions on previous messages, I have been able to see the tracks on the existing
Natmap maps opened in Ozi_explorer. The tracks show up as Pink or Green (as you said they would)
on the Dunolly Natmap.
However, having downloaded your Google map (which is actually a photograph from Google earth )
as it is a Bitmap or .bmp file, I can not see how to import it to display in OziExplorer.
What I have done in OziExplorer, is go to File>Import Map>to see the drop down selection,
(this is where I went to convert the ECW maps from Natmap to .map extensions) but .bmp is not there.
Does a photograph display in OziExplorer, or is it only for maps?
Also how, or can I look at a PDF file, or a TIF (Tagged Image File Format Image) in OziExplorer?
Thanks for your help,
John

With any map that you load into Ozi it has two file's associated with it one is the image file (like the :bmp) the other is a :map file which has been created by ozi when the map was calibrated.
So you must of only download the one file and not the :map file and thats why you can't see it.
Download both links as you will see that one is only 4KB in size (map file) and the other is 75.473 KB
in size (image file-bmp) Just looked at my downloads and it looks like many only download the one file as the image has had 155 d-loads and only 58 for the map file unless they don't have ozi and only want to look at the bmp image.
once you have downloaded them you must save them in Ozi-Explorer/maps/ what ever folder you want to put them in from there like a folder called Google maps.
once you have done that open ozi the click load button then down to load map file then were it say look in make sure you are looking in the Google map folder were you downloaded the map too and you will see the file there click on it and the google map will load in ozi for you then you can load the:plt track file over the maps.
You will need to covert your PDF File to a bmp,ECW,PNG,Jpeg,ozf2 or ozf3 if it's a map.
Look in the OZi help to view OZi map extensions (Image Formats Supported)
