Laanecoorie Lakeside Park Empty Laanecoorie Lakeside Park

Located right on the lake, this park offers all type of accommodation from houses / cabins to powered / unpowered site.
I find it a great park as the kids are kept busy with the fishing and other kids in the park while I can get away to detect in some of the best gold fields in Vic.

Again Laanecoorie is playing host to the Forums 2012 Laanecoorie Bash, an informal get together by forum members and their families for a fun and educational weekend.

The park is Pet friendly, has a small kiosk and each site has its own fire pit so you can still enjoy that camp fire cooked meal and social gathering point like out in the bush, but with real toilets and hot showers only a few foot steps away.

Let Jim & Robyn know you are part of our Forum and I'm sure hey will look after you.

Great place and fantastic hosts.Smile

It sits in perfect location in Golden Triangle and most of detecting places are in radius of 1meter to 40km.
Here is the map of the area:

Thanks for these tips. I stayed at the Lakeside Park recently (camping - unpowered site) based on these recommendations. I agree 100% and also recommend the park, the hosts Jim and Robin were/are excellent. Also some nice folks were staying there as well. You can actually walk to gold bearing areas and there is also a small run of diggings on the park site that you can have a crack at. (As you drive towards the park on the bitumen road from the T intersection - look right in the first gully). Bought my Tully maps there etc and was very happy. Also managed to meet Tony Mills at his shop in Dunolly - a very helpful bloke.
