Hi from Neale in Biloela Queensland
Hi
I have a great old mate who owned Bonrook Station at Pine Creek.
He is 72years old and he tells me stories about the gold he has seen found in the area.
He was a Cattle Ringer himself and never looked for gold while he was there.
I think from what he said there is still a lot of gold to be found there even now.
Regards Neale

Morning Neale,
Wow, your mate would have some fantastic stories!
Yeah there are gold mines, both operational and abandoned, all over the place. I'm new to this game so basically I'm running all over the joint looking for gold without much luck. I'm hoping to get out there again this dry season to try my luck again.
Would your mate have any tips or places which he'd suggest to look?

Hi from Neale in Biloela Queensland
Hi
I was told a story about a 5 ounce Nugget found at Pine Creek.
I will share with you.
A Gold Detector fellow I met, at Clermont Gold Fields Queensland.
He told me he was on the road to the Pine Creek Council Tip NT.
There was a council worker digging out a culvert along this road with a dozer.
He asks if the guy could spread the soil out for him to detect the soil.
The dozer driver said it was fine and he spread the soil out for him.
This is where he told me he picked up the 5 ounce nugget.
It is a story and I never saw the nugget myself.
I asked my old mate Des if that could happen with him finding this nugget.
As he owned a large Station there and was a local he knew they were finding gold in that area.
He said there were a lot of gold mines out there.
So that was 2 different old people saying it was possible to find gold there.
You never know your luck.
Regards Neale

Hi Neale,
Cheers for the story, just fuels my bug to head out there even more.
The biggest Nugget I've seen in the area in the flesh (in the gold) was a 2oz bad boy. It had been cleaned up and looked awesome! At first I didn't know what I was looking at, as I'd never seen one so big! When I picked it up, I couldn't believe the weight of it! Incredible! Makes me wonder what a 5oz, if not bigger nugget would feel like/

Mio C520 Gold Locations Pine Creek
buzzdog
You said on your PM that you are running Ozi-CE on your Mio if so then you can load this into your POI Folder on your SD that you put into your Mio
It is for the Mio POI Location of the Au Gold in Pine Creek so you can use the Mio to give you direction on how to get there or near by then you can load the Ozi waypoints I post here on your Ozi-CE to get the those details tracks of that area.

How do you think you will go, do you understand how it works.

Hi David,
Cheers for that, I found a way to convert the KML files into Ozi Explorer readable .wpt files. So far it seems to be working a treat. Still trying to see if there is a way to transfer those fault line tracks from GE to Ozi Explorer...

Re: NT Pine Creek
Do you have both Ozi-Explorer for your PC nd OziCE for your Mio
Using the POI File on your Mio or Knav to give you voice direction to your location is the way to go.

Re: NT Pine Creek
Cool, thanks for that.
I found a work around to use and see the Pine Creek fault lines onto my GPS and plot my existing waypoints around the area. Just took an .jpg image of the area from GE, imported the image into OziExplorer and calibrated it using reference points such as pine creek and Hayes creek. Works a treat and all my existing waypoints and those mine plots you posted display well.

The map size is 485 MB there is two ways of getting it by downloading or I can send it to you if you want it sent then PM me
