Just going through my rubbish for the day, no finds unforunately.

Is this ironstone? Gave a good signal, busted it open with a hammer and its got a silvery/iron coloured vein in it. Very heavy too.

Just interested to know what is

It looks more like a bit of very old rusted cast iron. the silver bit in the middle is the iron and there in the photo, on the right hand side, seems to be bent wire of some sort.
