G'Day all

I am interested in purchasing a Whites TDI Pro or Whites GMT.
I would appreciate it if anybody could tell me a bit about them or even better is there a field test report anywhere.

I went out a few weeks ago (for the first time) with a mate to the ballarat area and come home with 4 nuggets found with his ML 3000.

I look forward to your response.

Hi Mate, I have a GMZ which is basically the same as a GMT but silent search and no iron ID.
I also have the TDI Pro Oz.
Id say buy the TDI as its a PI detector and the next best thing after a minelab and half the price.
It also uses all the coilteck, nuggett finder coils as ML , you prob already know this.

Cheers

Good luck mate.
It would be great to read about something other than a ML detector finding some gold for a change.
granted you will need to be a bit more skillfull using the TDI in the gold fields than if you were using a ML PI but it is still a nice and very capable gold detector. (although for some strange reason the TDI doesn't work in the hands of a Minelab PI operator) Wink

Good stuff! did you get the twin coil pack from Tony? I suggest you ditch the stoch 12inch coil and get a coiltek or nugget finder, in a replacement in the same size is so much better!

whites detectors Empty TDI Purchase

Post  dream gold Tue Jan 17, 2012 11:25 pm

Hi Krunchi.
I bought the TDI Pro and chest harness , they threw in a free pan too. Im hoping for it to arrive tomorrow.
I did get the double coil deal. I am going to try the 6 inch over some wash areas and some heaps hopefully on sunday.
I will see how that goes and then purchase another coiltek coil soon.

Adrian
I will keep you informed as I too have heard nothing but ML

whites detectors Empty first TDI outing

Post  dream gold Sun Jan 22, 2012 8:54 pm

Hi Guys

I went out with my new TDI today.

I got 3 nuggets (2just over 1 gram and 1 just under 2 grams)

I also dragged up several bullet casings and some iron.

One of the nuggets was fairly deep and was overlooked by me mates detector.

I am wrapped with its performance even though I had to study the instructions at home and used the TDI for the first time on some buried targets including a couple of nuggets.

The sounds are not the same as the ML and could be confusing to a ML user.

I had absolutly no troubles throughout the day and rebalanced twice during the 5 hour hunt.

I would appreciate any feeback from other TDI users
