Re: WA Prospecting Clubs
Is anyone here a member of any of these clubs/associations? I'm considering joining one, and curious if anyone has any experiences.

West Coast Metal Detector Club
Yes, I am a member of the WCMDC. We promote metal detecting as a past time, whether prospecting, taking part in treasure hunts, or searching for artifacts. You can email the club for more info westcoastmdc@live.com.au As mentioned we meet monthly, and our next event is a quiet weekend treasure hunt this long weekend. This kind of activity promotes the social aspect of our club. At this time, our October meeting will be followed by a Field Day on Niov1, searching for WWII artifacts in the hills behind Perth. If you are interested, drop us an email, and we will send you more info.

Re: WA Prospecting Clubs
Gday everybody
Just to explain that the Eastern Goldfields Prospectors Association (EGPA) is only the Goldfields branch of APLA WA.
APLA WA, with its headoffice in Perth, thus have 2 branches, (1)Mandurah and (2)EGPA in Boulder.

Update on West Coast Metal Detector Club
The West Coast club has moved its venue as the old church hall was condemmed and was going to cost too much to repair. The club now meets at the seniors centre at 5 Mackie Street in Vic Park, still the 4th Tuesday of the month, starting at 8pm. Get there around 7.30, you can introduce yourself, meet some of the members.
