good free firewall? Empty good free firewall?

hi all
my zone alarm firewall has been playing up. i run XP. can anybody recommend a good free firewall.

hi GC i have used plenty of them, one of the best and easy to use is PC tools free firewall, effective and fully customizable, and works very well under XP, easy program control as well, regards, gary

What is wrong with Windows own fire wall?
I have been using it in association with AVG Free for many years and as of yet have not ever had a problem.

AVG free is a little hard to download at times as they do try very hard to get you to accept the paid version which is little better if at all.

Your looking at the pro version.....the free version Comodo Internet Security includes everything you need and you can customize it only to install what you want. Been using it for a long time now and works great, as you can also see on the rankings it gives you the best of protection ( and costs nothing ).

Windows firewall is pretty useless, it just makes you feel safe because you think you're running a Firewall, but in reality does very little. The reason you have not had a problem is it lets everything thru.
