Hey Stoppsy,
I use the Coiltek 14"DD on my SD2200d and it's great. Should be the same on the SD2000. I tried using the NF16"mono and it drove me crazy, but then I do have a low threshhold to all the noise.
So for me, on the SDs it's, DD is good, mono is bad.
Cheers

Stoppsy,as CostasDee stated the SD2000 is more of a DD machine than mono, even though it came out with an 18" rubbish bin lid of a mono coil that, mind you, scored a lot of good gold at good depth,in low to medium mineralized ground conditions. That said both the older Coiltek 11"&14" terracotta mono's as well as Minelabs older 8"&11 inch super gold search monos that came out with the introduction of the SD2100 worked well on this machine. The newer Advantage series coils along with other manufacturers latter design coils i believe are wound more in a way to suit the newer timings of the GPX series model machines.Either way, interesting to see what hes got to say about the two.

Cheers kon61.
