coiltek goldstalker coil on SD2200v2
just wondering if anyone has been using one of these new Coiltek goldstalker 18" eliptical mono coils on a SD detector??. Apparently they work well on SD detectors, going on what coiltek says!.
cheers

coiltek
my mate ran my 18 goldstalker on his old 2200and he said it was great till he got into hot ground then it sent him mad so it depends on there area you are detecting . he uses dd coils all the time just changes the size. you should borrow one and give it a try before buying one there not cheap. good luck

Re: coiltek goldstalker coil on SD2200v2
guess what!.. I already have purchased one, brand new was $360 and it will be getting used on a brand new SD2200v2 with the coiltek 7.3 volt battery system and decc booster. If the new coil is too noisy in the area im using it i will swap over for the older orange 17" coiltek eliptical DD coil which runs about as quiet as i have found for the SD series detectors.
thanks

Re: coiltek goldstalker coil on SD2200v2
Hi tim,
i have a 17" elip dd {wallaby} coil, when you come
down i will bring it over just in case you have trouble with
the goldstalker on your 2200v2, i have detected with
a bloke that used mono's on his 2200v2 he got some
good deep gold with it but it was bloody hard work
for him in vics hot ground.
so if you don't like the mono you can use my 17" dd
so you won't lose any detecting time trying to get one.
see ya when you get down here.
cheers fencejumper.

Hey, thanks for that chris, yeah i have been told about the hot ground in webberburn so no mono there..I will use mono where i can but when i cant because of the noise created i will stick on the dd's. Im heading out to a local spot this weekned to give the new sd a whirl.
