Clermont - current conditions

I am planning a week's visit next month. I would appreciate advice on current conditions and any no go areas (gpa's closed etc). I have heard that the grass is very high but I am uncertain as to current moisture levels/ treack closures etc. Will be using 4500 with monos. Thanks in advance. Mike

i am going there early june for 2 weeks so am watching this thread with interest myself,regardless off what the conditions are like. i just want a break from the coast.
i have heard that a lot of the tracks are gone due to bad washouts and some cannot be found due to the long grass,so its looking like shanks pony will be getting a workout.

I was talking to a M8 who is up there at the moment there are only 3 GPA's open Macdonalds flat, Bathhampton, and Apsley they have been having rain on and off the other GPA's won't be opened until they are graded when the ground dries more, grass is woeful. We will still go up in about 3 weeks time must swing the wand.

We were there about a week ago and McMasters, Bottom Apsley, and Birimgan were closed. Since then they have had another 3 inches of rain and I would expect Bathampton to be closed again, because it had only just opened when we were there. The grass is the worst I've ever seen it. According to Andrew, McMasters won't be open for a while as large sections of the track near the dam have been washed away.

We got a few tiny bits at Bathampton and Four Mile. We are now in Halls Creek and hoping to do a bit better.
