what weather pattern is considered to be hot and dry is it el nino or la nina.
what are we predicting for the type of summer we will get this sumer of 2024/2025.
all ready we are starting to see some of those spring type storms whip up.
getting a touch milder and warmer.
wont be long the vegetation growth.

Re: dry and hot conditions
Just google El Nino or La Nina Tim & it will give you your answer as to which is the hotter climate & or colder one.
As it stands even the best known weather detecting technology, together with the brightest of weather forecasters, can't accurately predict precise weather patterns from one week to the next, not alone when exactly an El Nino or El Nina event is to take place, until it has well & truly settled in & taken place.
By the way, good detecting weather is not far off the horizon, so less you have plans to study the sciences Tim, I suggest you start planning your next trip out detecting for gold.

Re: dry and hot conditions
Was at the CFA and MFB fire brigade pre summer briefing today and they say its going to be a hotter then usual and dryer summer in Victoria.
Allready there are some localise grass fires in the northern parts of the state.
they say its does not have to be temp hot either just a dry fuel and wind.
Grounds still a bit wet and come November they expect the ground to dry up say around Melbourne cup day.
Still cooler temps in Vic currently.
they say its good time to do back burns and time for any fire prevention and getting your fire plans ready.
they say they are well equiped and they have some more stategys.
until now time to plan.

Re: dry and hot conditions
Was up at Heathcote a few days ago.
Dry as a chip the ground there.
Really getting harder too.
The green from september is now dryed out a heap.
No rain for the next week or 2 as well.
I think back in early 00s there was even cracking in the ground the ground was so dry.
Ground can crack thats when you know theres 0% moisture in it.
Spoke to someone from Aarat way he said that the bush is now a dust bowl.

Re: dry and hot conditions
If this summer season is anything like the last scorching summer season of Europe, we're in for some highly dangerous fire season times.
Take care out there all.
Cheers Kon
