Depth advantage between 4000 & 5000 on QUIET ground? Empty Depth advantage between 4000 & 5000 on QUIET ground?

Hi ,
I'm currently running a GPX 4000, on very quiet ground. Now I understand if you're sceptical, but I can run my platypus mono on my 4000 in normal timings, motion slow, gain on 10, and the detector still runs pretty stable.

I'm thinking of getting a second detector ( for the other member of my 2 man team) and I'd like to know, is there any depth advantage on Quiet ground with the GPX 5000? Do you think that it would be able to pick up anything that the 4000 couldn't on this type of ground?
I'd be very interested in everyone's opinions on this matter.
So what do you think?
Cheers cheers sunny

hi goldtimer
if you can run your 4000 in normal with a mono and it's stable,
then i would say no there would be no advantage in getting a 5000

the only advantage in the later machines that i can see is ,handling the ground (hot ground)
to the same depth as the older machines, but does a better job in that depth range

hope that makes sense to you

this is just my opinion

cheers

Ok, Cheers fencejumper, I was sort of thinking along the same lines, but I thought it'd be good to get a few different opinions.
Thanks Very Happy

If its quiet ground then perhaps the Sharp Timing on the 4500 & 5000?? Could be an advantage ??

G,day goldtimer

On the ground you are talking about it may not matter, but on hotter noiser ground the GPX5000 or the GPX4500 will both run rings around the 4000, so it just depends where you are going to be using it most.

I found the 4500 to be far better than the 4000 was, but again that may have been where I was using it.

cheers dave

Мне GPX-4500 очень понравился. Теперь GPX-4000 продаю. И работая в команде я с 5000 и двое с 4000 я по на находкам их обгонял.

GPX-4500 I really enjoyed it. GPX-4000 now sell. And I work as a team with two 5000 and from 4000 on, I overtook them on the findings.
