turning small gold into one

hey guys, i'm thinking i should save the smaller bits to over an ounce and melting them into one good size bar or nugget. what do use think is it worth doing or just sell it the way it is?

You'll probably get more on ebay selling them as natureal gold nuggets.

Much more as individual pieces.

some dealers don't like buying melted gold unless they know you.
there was a case recently were a buyer bought some melted gold that was suppose to be from a speci and
it turned out there was a two dollar coin inside the melted gold to add weight.

was also told that some don't like it as it could be the procceds of crime (stolen gold/jewelery) that has been melted
to stop it being identified,

but some dealers will buy it
i would just sell it as a parcel of little bits
