a mate of mione is big on iodine as a prerequisite for good health, i did a little reading on it and was astounded by some of the claims, anyway my daughter developed ovarian cysts, and i convinced her to give iodine, via kep tablets a try, she chose a type that was very high in iodine, she also increased her seafood intake and after some months when visiting the doctor for her checkup asked the doc if the cysts were any different and the doctor said yes they have gone, but there is one with a heartbeat!, on reading further on this "liknk" between iodine and cancer etc, i discovered that japanese women because of their high intake of iodine rich foods, seaweed kelp and fish etc, have the lowest incidence of this type of cancer and growths etc
years ago iodine used to be addedd to bread and the practise was discontinued, much has been said about the medical mafia in relation to this

you can get high iodine kelp tablets at good healthfood shops
most doctors will telll you that iodine is not to used in excess, fair enough, but did you know that australia had a deficiency in iodine stocks earlier this year because most of the worlds stocks had been sent to japan to treat radiation sickness iodised salt is a good place to start
re the original topic, i was given a 2 litre batch by an indigeneous woman here in w a , of it and tried a very small glass straight, ordinary teaish sort of taste, but on learning more, i am going to get into it, i have no known cancers or sickness
who knowa between that and iodine....magic bullet?

Hi all
Does anyone know the
Legality of getting this plant
( or seeds here in nsw if it would grow here)
As I have nothing to loose , but a whole lot to gain
From trying it
Bathurst is a cold climate
So may have to grow it under a controlled environment
And suppose I would have to use the soil
It grows naturally in wa
Just a thought if anyone has any info
Or answers to my questions
That would be great
Maybe Santa could bring me seeds and soil for Christmas Wink

Or maybe it's a good reason to get over there and collect some
Myself
And have a swing on the red dirt Very Happy
Thanks in advance for any info that's not already provided

G'day Mark, it seems that stainless steel came about 150 years ago. I don't know about the Old People boiling things up, but i do know that a few of the older Civilizations used to use a leather bucket for water, and throw into it fire heated stones. They used to make stews this way. Suposedly, the Clever Men (men of high degree) wouldn't touch heated water (they reckoned that it wasn't good for them).

Thought id add to this topic. I was good friends with an elder before his passing a few years ago and we were talking about this same "cancer bush" and he swore by it, growing up in WA in the 20s as a prospector he would regularly procure this plant for its medical benefits. And the day he stopped using it he was diagnosed with a tumor in his brain,he lived a long and happy life and I'm glad I had the privilege of meeting him. luckyNug

Re: iodine, the shortage is still on,not only the Japanese but the Americans have been stockpiling as well.Potasium iodide for tablets for radiation sickness for their coming civil war. This is not a conspiracy theory strory, just what they are doing.I have had 500 grams on order for 2 1/2 months now and not very hopefull.
Another valid point about iodine is humans need it in their bodies yet it only comes from the sea.Tells you something something about where we came from..
Dave.

So the USA are stocking iodine tablets, to treat radiation sickness which will result from an impending (presumably nuclear) civil war?

But this isn't a conspiracy theory?

The "Maroon Bush" can be easily identified at this time of the year by the unusual "half" flower strongly perfumed. As mentioned earlier in this thread the white flower can be likened to a hand, ie: It has 5 petals in a half circle approx 10mm diameter.
Have just returned from the Leonora area and they are prolific.

Everywhere around Kal at the moment too, if your interested walk the trail at karkula park in kalgoorlie there is an example of the plant there with a little information plaque next to it.
My father has just finished first round of chemo I will be out picking some for sure after reading a bit about it.
Funny though none of his doctors or nurses in the cancer ward at sir charles gardener had even heard of it.
Cheers

Hi hoolahoopa
I'm into my 2nd year of chemo !!!!
And my specialist has strongly advised me not to take it!!!
As it effects the chemo
And they have to try and work out measurements
And dosages and if they can't get it right
The chemo is rendered useless !
But if the chemos not working anything is worth a shot .
And the moment I find out that the chemo isn't
Doing what it's supposed to
I'll be getting my hands on some maroon bush !
Even if it is classified an s1 poison .
I wish your father all the best , and the strength to fight
Through this hard battle he is going through
And win it

i recently read that there is intense testing of a lot of traditional medicines *bush medicine) underway in Australia at present, apparently some of the plants discussed here are showing great promise as anti carcinogenes
there is also a great deal of info on alternative cures that are available on www.phoenixtears.com , and www.phoenixtears.ca the us state of Colorado is leading the world in the research into the information displayed there

one of the reasons put forward that a lot of these "bush" remedies and cures haven't progressed is that to get a medicine up and going one needs to get a patent, and most natural plants cant get patented...more info on that side of things can be found when looking into dna changed crops etc and the amount of controversy about it

lets face it, humans evolved and thrived a long time before pharmaceutical companies came along(most successful species in the past few millennia at least)
