back on the Pilbara gold
Weather has finally started getting a little it better for detecting in the Pilbara. Managed to get out for a few days last break from work and the gold gods were smiling. Some nice little nuggets and a couple of speci's. They looked a bit ordinary until they had a bath for a few days in Alibrite. Bigger speci showed 18g with specific gravity but dont want to crush it to find out for sure. Think it looks good with the host rock still there. Will hopefully get out again this week as I have 2 weeks off, time to go bush and find a bit more

Its still out there Moredeep, I'm just lucky to live in a place where there are still remote areas that haven't been done over. Unfortunately a lot of spots require a bloody hot rocky walk after a rough cross country drive in. Still well worth the effort. Keep at it and you will find it

Re: back on the Pilbara gold
Managed to get out again close to home for a few hours yesterday. 2 little bits for a gram and a half, but also found an old slug about 12 inches down that is huge. Not to sure what someone was shooting, maybe we used to have elephants in the Pilbara before I got here, because it looks a little to big for roos, and haven't seen many camels around here.
