Re: Covid 19 Finally Nailed Us.
Would you believe that the chemists that I have been to all said they do not stock the anti viral and order it in when someone brings in a script and then there is up to a five day wait for it to arrive......Starve the bloody lizards !!@%&*
A bit later:
I just found out that these anti virals will set you back 1000 dollars AUST if you do not have a health concession card plus if you have had the symptoms for more than five days there is no point /benefit in taking them

Re: Covid 19 Finally Nailed Us.
Eligibility and access
If you test positive for COVID-19, you may be eligible for antiviral treatments if you are:
70 years of age or older, regardless of risk factors and with or without symptoms
50 years of age or older with 2 additional risk factors for developing severe disease or have had past a COVID 19 infection resulting in hospitalisation .
If you have a Medicare card
The oral antiviral treatments for COVID-19, Paxlovid and Lagevrio, are listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
This means the medications are subsidised for people with a Medicare card.
From 1 January 2023, the maximum cost for a pharmaceutical benefit item under the PBS at a pharmacy is:
Reduced from $42.50 to $30 for general patients
Increased from $6.80 to $7.30 for concession card holders, in line with annual CPI indexation.
More information can be found at Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) | Changes to the PBS to make medicines more affordable.
you should be eligible. https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/treatments/oral

Re: Covid 19 Finally Nailed Us.
Yeah mate thanks. We are getting over it. It is not quite as bad as the flu that I got many years ago although it has definitely slowed us down a bit for the past week.

Re: Covid 19 Finally Nailed Us.
Well we have thrown off Covid with three days of negative covid readings.
Still feel a bit under the weather tho as the body gets back to normal. Maybe those 4 covid shots helped or maybe they didn't. Have no way of knowing.
