Lars Guldstrom Gold Spear

Anybody out there ever used one of these gadgets?
I have and it works very well. Old invention but very sensitive to gold of super small to large nuggets.
I used mine in the creeks around Walhalla and in the Wool shed creek near Eldorado; also in the creeks around Majors Creek near Braidwood.
    The unit works well in sandy to slightly gravelly ground. In hard ground you need to put an auger hole down first.
Found plenty of dishable  gold with this detector that would have taken a lot of panning to find it without the spear.

Still have three of these detectors and  have only had one failure which I was able to repair myself because lars sent me the required part after he diagnosed the fault from my description.
but thousands of these detectors sold world wide. Nice bit of kit that will remain with me for a while yet.
Do not know if Lars is still around.
