Investing in Gold and silver
Investing in silver and gold bullion coins is a way to diversify once portfolio and protect against inflation. As inflation continues to increase , so to get hedge against inflation, its good to take decision timely. My father is thinking of buying a Kookaburra 2023 silver coin. He wants to get into gold, but the news calls it more expensive than silver.
He is thinking of choosing Gold Secure and ABC Bullion as his dealers to make the deal, as only these two have it in inventory. Also, one doesn't go to any brokers, as they are a piece of work.

Re: Investing in Gold and silver
Going by your first link, if you buy the 1 oz Kookaburra and sold it the same day you have lost over 25% of your money. That is a large gain to break even. If you did the same for 1 oz gold bar your loss is less than 4% (However the purchase is about 64 times larger than 1 oz Kookaburra.
The best way to beat inflation is buy what you need first and gamble on commodities later but make sure it is in your possession.

Yes this is better option you are saying. I should consider this before buying this kookaburra in 2023. As its not in market , only https://goldsecure.com.au/buy-bullion and https://www.abcbullion.com.au/ these website people have this. Thats why I consider to invest in this. I thought it will have more demand in future.

Re: Investing in Gold and silver
From my exp it appears that these newly minted so called Collectable Coins are not really very collectable.
A coin that is collectable needs to be original, have history and be rare.
I have a few pseudo collectable silver coins and they have all lost value.
My Holey Dollar & Dump mint Proof set was neither costly nor cheap but has it gained value? I doubt it. On the other hand I have not been able to find another one for sale.
