G'Day

I have been looking at this 'Hack' for the SDC 2300 for a while now and I really hope no one is going to be rude to me Smile

What do I do with it ?

How does it help me find .au

IMO, it assists you in two ways, firstly, it allows you to swing longer with less shoulder fatigue and secondly, if you're not a coil scrubber, allows better control of the coil over the ground.

G'Day Bicter

Thanks for the quick reply.

Sorry, I still don't 'see' how something that hangs off the side of the detector would do this.

Which bit don't you understand, the first or second point?
When a person gets fatigued from long periods of swinging the coil, coil control tends to go out the window and the detector effectively detunes as the height above ground varies.
The unit that you have linked to appears to be very similar to that supplied with the GPZ7000.
Minelab must think they are effective to supply them with the top shelf detector

Extract from GPZ7000 manual:
The GA 10 Guide Arm is an optional attachment that
helps to reduce fatigue during long detecting sessions,
and increases swing accuracy. The GA 10 attaches to
the mid shaft and features a Flex-link and strap for easy
adjustment. A C-clip is included with the GA 10 so that it
can be clipped to the detector when not in use.
