Hi all, This year I have bought two detectors and all the gear (budget stuff where I can). I've made a few items myself that I couldn't afford to buy online. Saw American made snakeskins and as an old retired sparkie I remembered the expandable braided cable sleeve that was used on IT cabling. I bought some and made my own snake skins (I already had some of the tools to do the work) for my Vanquish 540 coils and about to do some for my GM1000 coils. Cost wise the sleeving cost me $20 for about 4.5m, so I'm ahead already.Looking at making a few stands for the detectors as online ones are expensive and one I bought ,not up to par. Been practising in local parks and around a few river camps a few hours from home. Hope to make a few finds, just cleaning rubbish up at the moment(ring pulls, bottle tops, nails etc)
