ML Swing Arm Joint

I'm up for my 3rd or 4th swing arm joint, SWMBO uses the swing arm on the 2300 ( now leave the swing arm on permanent and don't collapse), so the stretch section does not break ( have a backup solution to still use the swing arm if this happens) but now have broken the W Flex section of the joint on the Z. Last week had the new NF coil installed and changed over the swing arm, yesterday just moved the Z and the swing arm just broke, ie the plastic was brittle.

Question, I still want to use the swing arm but replace the joint with say a 50mm pipe fitting/clamp on the shaft and a xxxx? on the ML swing arm. Anybody come up with DIY fix.

Regardless at this time will still buy another ML joint, but would like a DIY backup ( in the past have had the ML joint in my kit as the backup)

Looks like BCF may have some fittings that could do the job according to the last post below
