A new acquisition to the stable
Picked myself up a GPX5000. Looking forward to covering some ground in the coming weeks. Ballarat/Creswick next weekend & Maryborough in mid Feb.

Good on you fwdoz. Excellent detector/coil combo you have there. Best of luck to you out there.
Cheers Kon.

Re: A new acquisition to the stable
I agree with Kon. I live in Maryborough and also have a 5000. But I run an 8" Commander coil on mine most days. Right now it is bloody hot and very dry up here with the ground like concrete. You would need at least 3 days of heavy rain to be able to drive your pick into the ground enough to say you broke the surface.

Those are there to wedge under the door to stop it blowing shut.
I wear decent hiking boots when detecting

Thanks Kon
Nice genuine unit at a decent price. Seller packaged it better than anything I have ever received.

Not sure where we are going up in Maryborough Wombat. Meeting up with someone smarter than thou for a bit of brainstorming.
Cant wait to poke around with it.
As for the picks, got given a lovely nice long handle pick today so it is sure to get a decent test out!

Not sure about flippers. A dinghy might have been more apt!
