Offline gps for ipad
Hi everyone... it’s good to be back
So the partner and I have made it back to WA and we are about to finish our quarantine on Thursday... so I’m keen to get some time on the ground before I start work on the 27th. Been trying to get geomaps to work on my laptop so I can connect the gps and know where I am (lease wise) but it’s not working. So is there a good offline gps app that anyone uses for an iPad that I can put in and save the coordinates of a particular lease?

Hi bilbo,
Try Australian Geology Travel Maps by Trilobite Solutions. Download the layers that you need. Costs I think $11.99 a year. I have been using it over here for the last year and know plenty of others thaat swear by it.
Cheers

Cheers Doug, is there a limit as to how many place marks you can add and save?

Not sure bilbo, never worried about that. Is Gumlu a bit wet at the moment? I'm originally from Home Hill.

Not that i am aware of. I have plenty of placemarks and breadcrumb trails with location info on Trilobite. A good little tool. Cost me $11.99 for the app and $11.99 for access to all the Victorian data. All the layers come in handy and it is very easy to use . No internet needed.

The iPad must have inbuilt GPS capabilities.
