Re: Z Search coil
No Dave my question is not how many of the new NF12" coils are out and since the 1st batch is only 200
Im not asking for a comparison between any x or other coils
I guess Im asking any of the 200 owners out there ,that have this coil what settings they are using nothing more
cheers Marty

Re: Z Search coil
Lesgold, who I believe is an experienced Z user is using the same settings as per his standard Z coil for the area they were detecting. ( from memory I think he was the person I asked for advice re settings 5 or 6 years ago when I first purchased my Z)
see his comments Dec17th.

Re: Z Search coil
Hi Marty, you could send Les a PM and ask for his settings, I don't think he would consider them a secret.

Re: Z Search coil
Marty, I got to use a 12” NF Z Search test coil. Settings I used were:-
High Yield
Difficult
Threshold level - 28
Threshold pitch - 40 (personal)
Volume limit - 10 (headphones) - later reduced this to 9
Sensitivity - 14
Volume - 8
Audio smoothing - Off
Ground balance mode - Semi-auto
I have done a few YouTube videos using the test coil. Link to channel under my signature. Hope this helps.

Re: Z Search coil
Hi Annie, Ever since owning the Z, I have used HY/Difficult, now trying HY/Normal (when I remember), ie dont really change my settings, just the standard EMI and ground balance, looks like you change your settings, but what about Normal and General checks?
Thanks
Peter
Thanks
Peter

G’day Peter, I only had test coil for a short time. In the area I detected, my experience with Normal & General were very noisy with the Minelab 14”so I didn’t try them, with Z Search 12”.

Ditto, but I am not rushing in, glad I held back buying the Z, 19" coil even at the cheaper price for initial Z buyers..
