Happy New Year Everyone.

Well 2020 is almost over. And if anyone had told us what we could expect at the beginning of 2020, we would have told them to get their head read and bugger off. Who thought we would start the year with massive Bush Fires that devisated most of the East Coast. Covid 19 that started in China and spread to most part of the world within months. Australia feeling safe thinking that we live on an Island it would take many more months to arrive here. But by early March we started getting our 1st lot of cases to the extent that most areas of Australia were put in lock down and told to wear masks. Business closed and unemployment rose for lack of work. Schools closed and children were taught at home. And that was basically stage 1. Stage 2 hit a few months later with more border closures and tougher restrictions. Many people died, specially our elderly in Aged Care. Hotel quarantine did not work and cases grew. People in High Raised buildings were locked in their apartments for weeks on end. Victoria finally started to reduce their cases of the virus and got 2 months of zero and restriction eased, until yesterday. NSW is now back in lockdown and our Victoria/NSW borders are once again closed. Victoria is going back to restrictions that we experienced a few months ago. 2020 affected many people in different ways, some good and some bad. But it did show that we can endure most things if we stick together and support each other through a crisis. We had done better than most other countries around the World.

What can we expect in 2021 ???? Well we know that Covid 19 will still be around for many months (or even years) to come and more Australians may die. Bush fire will prague us again in 2021 as it does at this time each year. We may see World trade conflict with China, America and us regarding many issues. South China sea could come to ahead with China, America, Japan and India and us, with China trying to claim those waters and control the region. Iran and the US could end up in a full conflict in the Middle East. There could be natural disasters like Earthquakes, Floods, Storms, and Fires. These we come to expect. It is the ones that we don't expect that rocks us, like covid19 did this year. If we start out strong we will end up strong at the end of the year.

So I would like to thank all Australians for their great effort and sacrifice that they made in 2020, for us to get to the other side.
