Only got out a few times this year. Dug hundreds of targets and got the gold on a previous trip - either I was lucky to find it with all the trash or it was unlucky to be found.  Tried the same area today and the lead sounded nice. Also got the usual nails, boot tacks and a button. It was good to get out for a swing. Maybe 2021 will be better for gold!

Nice piece there geoff,it becomes a bit of an art form detecting in junky area's.
A small coil and try to ignore the screamers and listen for that slightly different sound,persistence pays off.
