I use my Iphone 6 with an app called " Handy GPS " Really good app !
Less than $10 once off for unlimited waypoints.
Works out in the boondocks of WA where there is no phone reception ( does not need cellular coverage ).
Cheers, Rick

When in WA the wife and I use the Rino 750's and Trilobite on our phones, trilobite is the best. We use garmin etrex as backups, we also take a small UHF as backup radios.

If I was you mate get the cheapest Garmin eg etrex 10. It does all you need. Get yourself a game 5w handheld don't muck around with any other brand.. and lastly put tribulite on your phone. That is all you need.
My opinion of the rinos is that they interfere with the detector and I'm not the only 1 in Kalgoorlie that thinks the same.

Each for their own of course, no offence Hoolahoopa.
We have been using our Rino 650's since they were released and no problems with the 4500's and now the SDC & GPZ.
To be able to call, send messages and able to see where we have walked and distance at the end of the day can be interesting.
Unforgiving country out there, would never buy the cheapest when it comes to safety.

We have had a pair of Rino 650's for years and in that time have run a 2300, 4500, 5000 and a 7000 without any dramas.

When you auto tune your detector make sure you GPS and other Electronic are switch on first this will reduce most local interference from your devices.
