Ground Research advice please!
Hi Everyone
Do you have any suggestions on research books in relation to what I need to look for relating to the ground type I am in when detecting?
I really have no idea where to start. The place I will be detecting at is basically a few hours west to nth west of Bourke and its red red red dirt and more red dirt with the occasional dried up rocky creeks. It may be that the ground is just not viable for any precious metal but its somewhere I go every year and thought it would be fun and interesting to give it a good go. I'm just not sure exactly what I should be looking out for as a good place to start. Thanks so much

Re: Ground Research advice please!
G'day
If you know what the ground around Tibooburra looks like then that is gold ground, you need to look for gold where gold has been found to start with to get an idea of what to look for in other areas.
Anywhere from 20 or 30km from Whitecliffs towards the silver city Hwy the same ground exists, and Milparinka is the same all the way to Tibooburra. This is the type of ground, and if the ground your talking about out from Bourke looks like this, years and years ago I saw ground out past Wanaaring that looked good but that was way before was interested in metal detecting and have not been back there.
