SunriseBoy wrote:Yes, my 'attitude', as you so quaintly put it, really ought to be adjusted for the various touchy 'aussie' PC crew. But I'm sure we are both assured this ain't gonna happen.
Again, you have entirely failed to land the gist of my first post. But I get that; it's like being in a pub on a Sat. night...
I do get your first post SunriseBoy, but it's not content of your post that I'm questioning, it's your attitude and delivery.

Kilkivan prospecting
We are in Kilkivan at the moment and like the original member, are also looking for areas to prospect.
We have met and chatted to John Parsons.
His mine (Prophet mine) is closed to tourist prospecting now, and apart from landscape supplies, he only works the mine himself.
I am trying to contact Neville McSweeney to obtain permission to detect on some of his properties. I understand he owns a lot of land in the area.
Thank you to the members who have posted on this forum, I will follow up on your advice.
We are basic amateurs who have some nice gear, a GPZ7000 and a SDC2300, want to have fun, find a few artifacts, maybe find a gold nugget or two and do it safely, properly and without upsetting anyone. We respect others property and we fill our holes.
Consequently we appreciate any advice as to places to fossick around Kilkivan.
Thank you.
Peter.
