the depth for the gold
is gold normally found above the clay line I feel the limit to the depth I dig is the clay as I find it very hard to dig through the clay so how deep should I expect to get to the gold I only have a pick and looking at smaller nuggets please let me know thanks tim

where I detect you need to go through the clay to hit the wash but all ground is different I have found gold from sunbakers down to around 2ft dig it till its out

Please Tim if the target is still in the hole (and it doesn't matter if you are into clay or not) YOU MUST keep digging until the target is out. It could be a nice nugget below the clay base. Gold could be at any depth and in any try of ground.
