Mono or DD

Hey Team,

I have come across a 16" solid nugget finder coil. Doesn't say whether it's DD or mono ??????

Thoughts??

Do I just try it on mono and if it detects on one side of the coil then it's DD??

That's one way of determining if its DD or of mono coil design. Question, is it grey or white in colour? From memory, the old solid 16 inch Nugget Finder in white colour, were DD and the later solid 16 inch in grey colour, were mono.

Thanks... It's a grey top.... I have also heard that in cancel, if it's a mono, it won't pickup anything.

I expect a multimeter across the line will give a different result... I will try that and report back!!

I also have come across a 14 inch mono that I will test and compare tomorrow...
