X-coil for the 5000
Hi Dave, Are they still working on an X-coil for the 5000? I need a new toy attached to my machine.

G'day Hermann
Yes, that one we tried in VIC with Graham and yourself I still have it and they were going to make a few changes and send me another one to test, it has not got here yet, but there are a few people asking, so I will get onto it.
The good part about these x-coils for the 5000/4500 is you don't need a patch lead.

Yes, the 15"x14" was tested on a GPX5000 and a 4500 in VIC at Maryboriugh, it has good depth, but was a bit touch sensitive for Aussie conditions, and the next one will, fingers x, be a better.

X-coil for the 5000
Good news Dave. It would be good if you would send the coil to Graham in Maryborough so that we can try it out. Cheers, Hermann.

Me to, and I'll give a report as to how they compare against each other, it'll be interesting I reckon, both 12" coils both flat wound, or at least I am told the X-Coil is, so when I get out to do some tests/comparisons, it will be the same idea that I have been doing with the 7000 and X-Coils, like same target same day same settings. And settings that can be used all day while out actually detecting.

Dave has your test between the 12" X-coil and NF 12" Evo on the 5000 taken place as it has been some time since you posted to do the test comparison?

WMG and joe82
I am snowed under with the X-Coils for the 7000 and have not given the X-Coil 12" GPX a real go yet, yes it does work but it needs to be used for a good while to compare the like for like out in the field.
