That ain't no glory hole Adrian. They happened to stumble on a very rich pocket of concentrated gold in quartz. The actual mother lode would be in the tons.
Speaking of glory holes, (the history of Castlemain gold discoveries), where the discovery of 1 to 3 meters wide glory holes, went 100 to 300lbs of gold & then some. Hard to believe but its all in the history books. Long gone are the shallow workings of those days, but what still exists under ground in places like Bendigo, Ballarat & Castlemain are yet to be fathomed.

What can one say but 'good luck' to those miners.. I would have loved to have been with Mr.Dole when he hosed down the dust!!! And to think they endured the lean times and had even put it up for sale!! Gorblimey…….. It's great to see the success that can come to those who endure, persevere and just stick at it....
