Future State and National Parks May Be Dead In The Water.
I know this is a bit political but it has a lot to do with the future State and National Parks here in Victoria. And a lot to do with prospecting in Victoria. We have State Elections later this year and you may not like this Party but do we have a choice, if we don't want anymore State or National Parks in Victoria to restrict our prospecting.
If you go to the PMAV page on the forum you will see a letter that the PMAV President OllyOleszek got from Matthew Guy MP.

EILDON MP CINDY MCLEISH CONFIRMS POLICY - NO NEW NATIONAL PARKS!!
Cindy McLeish MP has confirmed Vic Liberal Leader Matthew Guy 's statement last week to PMAV that there will be no great forest national park for Victoria! The Greens 'proposal', and that's all it is, is 'dead in the water' as far as the coalition is concerned in Victoria, if they win the 2018 election! Cindy is also actively pursueing the occupation of the Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre which was handed over to failed greens candidate Steve Meacher and others by DELWP, under what was clearly a 'flawed' process. The Libs and Nationals have consistently supported Daniel Young MP for SFFP in the Victorian Upper House, in his great efforts to get a clear parliamentary mandate against the job killing and recreational user destroying greens GFNP proposal.

For the Parks proposal to be dead in the Water Liberal will have to win by a significant margin at the next state Election.
I have no doubt the ALP and Greens will implement the new parks.

Until the next mate with a lobster dinner comes along to "suggest" otherwise. Remember it was the Coalition that restricted prospecting by sending the review off to VEAC.
This isn't a political comment. It is about the competence and trustworthiness of the current crop of politicians of all persuasions.

Gday. Over time it has been suggested on this forum to vote for this party or that party to save our detecting areas. Has it done any good and why are we still going down this path.
