Bathurst trip?
G'day all.
Is anyone prospecting around Bathurst? If yes would you mind answering a couple of questions for me?
I'm heading to Bathurst on Tuesday, driving down from Brisbane to Armadale on Monday then to Bathurst for a couple of days while my wife attempts to find out something about my side of the family. She will be reading a lot of gravestones as to the best of my knowledge they are all dead. Anyhow, just so the trip is not a total loss I thought I would pack the sluices, pans and the detectors ACE350 and ADS 7 (both Garrett machines), so what I would like to know is are the creeks/rivers flowing down there and is there any sort of licence that I need if I am noodling outside of a forrest?
Thanks.

Re: Bathurst trip?
Permit required for NSW State Forests.
http://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/activities/fossicking
No license required for fossicking in NSW but use your common sense if going onto private property. (Get Permission from the land owner) Or stay on crown land..
Can not help in regards to where best to set up your sluice other than maybe find a spot along the "Fish river".
