So I gave it to some people to use, they've got one, and say they always turn the detector off before using the pinpointer. They're wrong, yes????

Hi there.

I don't turn my detector off but I do move it a couple of metres away. When I first started using the pinpointer I had to move it about 6 metres away but lately I just pick up the detector and point the coil in the opposite direction, so one end of the detector is sitting next to me and the coil is at the other end.

I wouldn't turn the detector off unless absolutely necessary.

Hope this helps. Axtyr.
