Updated info on Tibooburra

Hi guys, I am contemplating a trip to Tibooburra this June/17 . I am finding it difficult to find any updated information on detecting, van sites & road conditions. If there is someone who can point me in the right direction, or anyone who has visited recently. Regards, ol' codger.

Any chance of finding gold out in those back-a-beyond places? I'm curious as I want to explore my state of NSW before going all over the other states trying to find gold

Still gold at tibooburra. And surrounding areas. Sometimes lots to be found and other times it is just slim pickings. That area has the odd larger nugget but it is mainly smaller fly sh!t found.

Like Travelergold says, yes there is, and as always you need to do a bit of research on the area, but even on the Tibooburra town common there is still gold to be found, we got a bit there this last winter, a few days detecting there on our way to WA
