Hi all,

New to detecting. Bought a 2nd hand Minelab GT16000 (off fleabay). Good nic
Pretty green to everything and have been over to my parents twice with the machine (Creswick area)
Haven't found any gold as yet but hopeful one day I will.
Thinking of getting a 2nd machine (spend between $500-$800).
Something with a few more bells and whistles than the GT (which is pretty limited but works well)

Here is a pic of what I found around Slatey Creek, Creswick, Australasia mine and up around Clunes.
Stoked with the 1c coin find - starting to get back my investment !

Don't underestimate the 16000. I found hundreds of ounces with one of those. It's where you use it thet matters most.

Ok Reg.

I've been running it with the threshold all the way to the left.
Sensitivity in the middle.
Soil in normal.
On all metal discriminator.
Sound normal.
Fix GB Motion.

It picks up everything I come across.
I've got a gold nugget (bought off eBay years ago, 4.6gm) and have buried it at different depths to test machine.

Do you have any advice Reg ?
It would be much appreciated.
Very Happy
