Re: Reverse 5 Pin Power Cord
Gday Wheelie. Welcome to the forum.
Ive never heard of a 5 pin bungee cord socket, but if your referring to the female 5 pin power cord lead socket, that plugs in to your battery pack, you'll find them at any Jaycar Electronics outlet for around $6 bucks each.
Cheers kon61.

Re: Reverse 5 Pin Power Cord
Goldhog22 I thought about doing this to my Lucky lark, have you got a wiring diagram for this or it straight forward? or is it better buying the conversion lead from Reeds?goldhog22 wrote:Reeds have them , Got two last year to fix my lucky lark from 3500= to a 4500. Re: Reverse 5 Pin Power Cord
Hobo , Its just straight forward. I use a mm. There is a small pot in there that ups the volts to 8.2 ,out when finished.? Think i copied the wires from the batt. box for the 4500..??

Why dont you use 5pin pin panel socket from jaycar ps-0348 to take 5 pin premium diecast socket pp-0306 which are 1-65 and 3-75 respectively. You can always go for the amphenol harsh environment 6 pole connectors which are about 20-00 each plus about 14-00 ea. for dust plugs for both socket and skirt but dont really think they are necessary, they are pp and ps 1000- 1005

Re: Reverse 5 Pin Power Cord
Hello Wheelie23,
Yes, contact Reeds Prospecting, the business has changed hands however I would think they still have the 5 pin female.
http://www.reedsprospecting.com.au/
The soldering set up is quite simple because the only reason Minelab changed to 5 pin for their GP series was to prevent anyone plugging their 8+ volts battery into a SD series lower voltage machine. (Two wires are actually soldered to one pin so in effect only 4 pins are actually active.
Good luck
Peter
