65% deeper than the 5000.........I think I am going to end up with bigger arms.......or an Excavator.
That sure is going to make Calcrete a PITA .

There kidding right, they dropped the price of the GPZ7000 by about $1200 and they want us early (beta testers) to give them another $1295 for the privilege, yer right.
cheers dave

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
WE KNOW U WILL DAVE--U CANT RESIST.
Then again the least amount of buyers the more the rewards for those that plunge in.
Just like those that bagged the GPZ--I don't know of many people that haven't paid off their detector thus far and
its so easy to use even with half a brain.
cheers.

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Minelab are saying across the board, no exceptions, on all gold bigger than 1.9 grams the new coil will go deeper.
Could be worth a look at if it`s true
Pity the damn thing weighs nearly 2 kilos

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Looks like ML are going to make us all pay for their stuff ups while making this new coil. Come on ML how does $500.00 add up to the $1200 you dropped off the original price that all of us original buyers paid. After all it's not our fault that you had trouble when building this new coil. Yes I'm not happy Jan.

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Interesting there is no literature on "Extra Deep" gold mode.
I thought that was going to be the 'go to" mode and designed for the bigger coil...

How much heavier does that make the new coil over the 14"?

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Gee ML You suck!!!!
We paid.... $10700 for the zed7000. then if we want the new coil, it will cost us $1295
which comes across as if we get it for a big discount
Which in total is $11995
But
Whoever brought the Zed for $9499 .... the new coil will cost them $1795..
so a total of $11294
So the first lot of zed buyers like us.. still pay An extra $701..
And yet it was us!! The first lot of buyers that proved it too the masses that your machine did work..
Did i do my sums right????
Yep!!! Pretty sure I have..
And on top of that! Its advertised that we have a limited time to buy the new coil for the discounted price..
I guess we all must be bloody rich.

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Sadly its the way things go..........I can't remember how many times I have brought things to only find out a better newer and cheaper model was coming out in a few weeks time.....geez I hate that.
Anyway, lets hope those of you that get the new coil find so many nuggets the price fades into oblivion........fingers crossed

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Hi there Jen & Mike, I feel your pain....but Minelab are a business & out to make $$$$$. We all know that & also know they do make the best of detectors. They know that too so until some one else can match or better their products......we are stuffed & they will put a high price on their products. You know that despite your displeasure at the price you will get the 19" coil.....Minelab know that to. Bugger aye....damned if you do & damned if you don't. You will then have a good excuse to go back over all your old grounds. Just hope you find the goods to make the coil pay.
Good luck out there.

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
geez
what pain is there--
you buy a detector a good 12 months befor the drop in price and u cant tell me in that time alone u only found 10 grams of gold--
you would have the edge on everyone else that was trying to bag the machine, finding gold is a lot easier.
a lot of people are compassionate but theres a group that are compulsive..just be thankful that there are a few clever people out there making gear that Minelab are creating. Hang the expense.
The rest have been left way back and in time if they don't come up with something in left field then they will simply disappear.
The 19" coil is mainly suited to ground that has deep sub soils, laterites, river washed banks etc
Then theres the day time effect that plays on the performance of the detector.
ahh that's enough
cheers.

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Hi all
I purchased my 7000 in the first week of release
So let’s say I purchase my shiny new 19” coil for $1295.00 I use it for 3 or 4 weeks and for whatever reason I don’t like it.
I then decide to sell it Surly I would get my money back, as anyone with a 7000 purchased after march 16 would have to pay full price of $1795.00 so a second hand one at $1295 would be a bargain right.
What do you think how much would the second hand resale value be?
Is it worth buying trying and if you don’t like it then sell it without loosing any $$$
Or another view point whats to stop me from buying it new for $1295 then sell it for $1545 I make 250 bucks and someone else gets 250 bucks of the price of a brand new coil
Im not saying I am going to do this I am just putting it out there
Regards
Mick

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Hi Folks,
Just watched the video on the new 19" coil being packaged, it would appear that it comes with a lower shaft, initially I thought it may have been an extension of some kind; checking again it looks pretty standard.
Cheers, AUoptimist.

Re: GPZ 19" Coil
Thanks guys,
I can see the good points, but I still feel a bit ripped off. We picked ours up on the first day of release, Saturday 21st of March 2015 after we received an Email from MineLab.
Cheers.
Mike.

19" Coil
I'm with Mike & Jen ,
Even though I don't own a 7000 ( yet ) the new coil price is over the top & the calculation of the price for a $10,700 buyer compared to a $9,500 is
Out of whack ....!!!
