Re: Tunning 4500
I only tune mine when it gets a bit off emi and then manual tune and put the coil on the ground ,how did you go with the other coil noises you were having, if you have not solved it can you post a video on what the detector is doing regards john

Re: Tunning 4500
John have been detecting for about 2 years started with a sdc 2300 then a 7000 , the wife has claimed the 7000 so I brought a 4500 about 6 months ago. I am still trying to master the 4500 I have heard only good things about it. How about you John how long you been at it.Old Hand wrote:Yes OK fingers crossed all will be good ,how long have you been detecting regards john

Re: Tunning 4500
When I tune my 4500 I always set the gain at max 15, I set the motion to very fast, stabilizer at 20 which is max . Than I auto tune it, after the three beeps I ground balance in those settings. I go back to motion and take it down to very slow, gain at 13, and last is the stabilizer, for my grounds I set it at 8. than I ground balance until I get a smooth threshold. Your gain and stabilizer should be set for your ground conditions....don't be afraid to set the stabilizer and gain much lower, according to your ground conditions. I like to hunt with a smooth threshold, and go very slow and low.
