Beginner Looking For Day Tour

Hi All,

I am a complete novice from Sydney with absolutely no experience, equipment or 4WD, however I would love to do a day/weekend trip somewhere.

Looking at possible locations like Sofala, Wattle Flat, Hill End, Oberon, Grabben Gullen or Adelong and was hoping to do a bit of gold detecting and panning.

Where is the best place for me to start. Does anyone know any Tours or Day Trips that are good for beginners.
