Platinum And Diamonds Empty Platinum And Diamonds

Post  adrian ss Sat Apr 09, 2016 8:09 pm

Went to the beach today with the Tesoro Sand Shark and found my first platinum and diamond ring and it appeared to have been in the sand for quite a while. Fine roots were growing up between the diamonds.
3.34g and 0.56ct of diamond. 7 x .08ct diamonds. The diamonds are not too flash and are of varying colour and clarity.
The Shark found the ring at approx 12 inches in dry sand. Signal was weak.
The sand Shark performs very nearly as well as my Infinium in regards to sensitivity and depth of detection in salt water beaches. It is a very good beach PI.

Yes Costa it made my day  and I will see what I can do to track down the owner.
When I arrived home I was surprised to hear how much stronger the Infinium sounded off on the platinum than the Sand Shark. I guess it is to do with the different timmings. The S/S is much calmer with far fewer false signals than the Inf over the salty sand. The Finny is adjusted for high iron mineral ground conditions whereas the S/S is primarily set up for salt beach mineral conditions. Although the Yanks have been known to use the Shark in some of their gold fields.

Hey Adrian,
You should have replanted that ring when you got home ( Fine roots were growing up between the diamonds.) may have grown into a diamond tree? Very Happy

Funny how things pan out aye.
When I think of all of the things we did prior to going to the coast, finally arriving and swinging the coil over that target.
For a while we were  not even going to go
If we had stayed a tad longer in the Cafe at Braidwood or maybe taken a bit longer to eat lunch at the Bay or maybe the missus bought two pairs of jeans at millers instead of one. If we had altered any of that, then likely as not would not have ended up at the spot where the ring was hiding.
Every thing we do at every moment of time changes our future......Or does it?? Is it all pre ordained?? Suspect

I think I paid 480 AUD for the S/S...Second hand and it has proven to be an extremely capable beach PI that has scored me many coins and rings between Batemans bay and Eden. This particular Dia ring was at around 10 to 12  inches in dry sand. Vol near max and threshold chattery and just audible, Pulse Width at Pre set. Signal was weak...... The Sand Shark is bad news when EMI is present but it is a keeper.
