14" Elite mono on a standard SD2000.
Hi all.
I had been using my Elite coil on my modified 2000 after I bought it and it worked very well. I wondered how it would work on a standard SD2000 and a couple of weeks ago I got to try it out on one, in the same area I had been using it. I was surprised that it worked just as well.
The one caveat that I would put on it is that it will still be affected in noisy ground. I had been using it on a borrowed 5000 and found a reasonable nugget in an ironstone rock. The next time I used it I only had my 2000 and when I went back to that area it just got blown out as if I had put the detector over a 44 gallon steel drum.
The only reason I bought the coil is because I was able to borrow a 5000, but now I ended up buying a 7000 so it currently isn't used.
So I would be very happy using the coil on any type of 2000 so long as the soil isn't too mineralised, but a DD might be more suitable.
Regards Axtyr.
