THE NEW NF 17 X 13 EVOLUTION
Hi Gypsy, like i said they are both great coils I just preferred going with the elliptical as it has a little more ground coverage,if you can get hold of a test coil from a dealer that may help you to decide..There are a lot of happy users of both brands, and Nugget Finder are now getting their coils to the market place after a delay...If two items offer similar performance and similar price,it then comes down to personal preference...hope this helps.

Hey E D (Bill), yeah that sounds like my thoughts out loud, just wanted your perspective, and now i do.
Have you tested it against the earlier version 17x11? I have one now and wonder if I really need to update, guess a trial weekend may be in order when my battery eventually shows up.
Cheers

You will see a improvement mate, were camped out from kal at the moment doing some patch hunting but did some crumbing today, man they are good coils, pinging small stuff deeper then what were used to,hope to get something decent deep the next week,2.5 gr the biggest with the NF so far,we compared 6-8 small bits today between the NF and elite, the elite has the edge slighty on most nuggets is what weve seen, responce just a tad sharper, both coils are really a marked improvement.
Anyway cooks gone back to town for the night im flyin solo, roughin it,scotch fillets or pork chops decisions decisions - one more corona might help......

Lol, i should have such problems.
Battery came back this week with a new heart, but seems the pump for it needs work as well, as the transplant didn't work. So now it's on it's way back to the doc's for another probe and cut with hopefully acceptable results this time, otherwise it's retirement time & a new young buck gets a chance.
Getting a case of cabin fever not being able to get out on the ground though, mind you mother nature isn't co-operating in that regard either.
Good job on the cleaning up too btw.....

Re: Pre-Order for the new NF 17 x 13
Thanks chaser, i'm also working on a back-up plan. Should know more over the weekend and hopefully be able to get out on the ground next week all things being equal. If that don't pan out, i may have to dig deep into the gold reserves (unwillingly), bite the bullet, and just buy a NEW 45/5000 battery, but hook or crook i will be detecting next week.
Cheers

Re: Pre-Order for the new NF 17 x 13
Evening all, dug a nugget in one of my old scrapes that i dismissed with the old coils obviously that was an eye opener yesty,id just cleared the gravel with my foot and walked away by the looks, had a definete repeat faint signal with the NF,just weighed it tonight,1.4 grms,i dont measure holes but i reckon 12-15 inches, called the girl over at 6" odd down and the elite had it to,now im no gun with a detector but im feeling like world champion since buying the elite and now the NF,elites got the biggest at 12grms but both have been pinging tiny stuff deep left right and centre on old spots, took a pic of that hole etc will post when service is a bit better

Re: Pre-Order for the new NF 17 x 13
Well done Goldchaser. That certainly was a good dig.
Had forgotten for a brief moment how good the ground looks over there.
Still waiting for a sign of good weather here to try Elite for the first time in Vic. Humpy is keeping me busy in the meantime with a couple of engineering issues but all will be good.
