I have been told that Minelab have no intention of releasing any other coils for the seven and that they have refused to give a licence to either Nugget Finder or Coiltek for any after market coils to be built.

Does anybody know if this is true or not?

Second question is, if somebody is going to make other coils for the seven, could they have a look at the possibility of making something like a UFO size coil (24x12), for use in open country to get more ground coverage?

Jeez Phoenix, I'm having trouble hoisting the 14 x 13 Zed coil now, let alone a 24 x 12!
Perhaps if they make it out of carbon??? (Should only add another thou$and to the price)!

Yeh a 24x12 would have a fair bit of weight to it But I think it would be a tad lighter than the 20" round that`s allegedly coming
cheers

Not to mention that as it is, i need to hold my pick head over my left shoulder to avoid siganlling from the Z.
A 24 x 12 you'd have ro have the pick head at least 3mtrs behind you. Maybe towing it with rope to keep it from the Z obtaining. Signal from it.

A secret squirrel told me that new coils are being developed by ML but won't be available for at least a year.

But i would think that they need to focus more on the coil they've already released with many being faulty. Including mine! V58
