Jen,
Save your video to your hard drive then it should be simple upload to YouTube, copy the link and post it via the YouTube icon on the top bar.
You can also post it via "flash" icon.
Good luck

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
Thanks all, yes we are really glad that these nice nugs were waiting for us and the GPZ to come and ping them out. This area we have found all size and at different depths, so I thought it the best spot for our first good try with the Zed. I am Farley confident that the bigger one would have been missed by the GPX, but the 10grm was a better response from the top before disturbing the ground, but I did notice when I started to scrape the ground with my pick, that it looked as if it had been scraped a long time ago had a hollow look about it. So who knows maybe someone may have heard a faint sound with an older machine and thought it just ground noise. As this area is Farley variable in mineralization especially to the older machines.
G'day Steve, no we weren't using either the bungy or swing arm, but you can't swing it for to long, I found if you are not getting many sounds then my arm was starting to ache. This is why I only detected for about 1/2hr and Jen took over for a little go. We did find you have to adjust the stem just right for yourself and this does make it more comfortable.
Cheers.
Mike.

Yep have files on harddrive.
Where will I find this icon? Left or right hand side of screen..
I will turn my crappy lap top back on and look again.. I feel it may be full of virus as well.
Should see the silly adds popping up
Thanks Peter

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
Thankyou to everyone..
We really didn't have any faith in this machine, after all the talk.. That's why we never bothered to take along the other machines, I just brought my sdc2300 along to try and ping a few tiddlers
But then I thought I had better keep an eye out on Mike, so I just followed him around, carry his water
( got my chance at using the new beast as well )
Found the sdc2300 came in handy though, I had to go get it from the car, it helped to pin point the gold, once it could hear it, that is.
We left our pinpointer at home as well
Fingers crossed the gold we found with the GPZ7000 weren't just fluky finds.
But the 51 grammer was down a fair way, even though in the video it doesn't look like it..
Even the 10 grammer was down a bit, under tree roots.. Small tree roots.
Hope that this machine pings a few more deep ones.
Mike has some more deep ground areas to try, once he has finished with this area.
So fingers crossed it's not a one off find.

Yes peter.Nightjar wrote:Great effort Mike/Jen, now we are seeing what the new machine is all about.
All we need now is comparison with the target still in the ground.

Peter
I wish we had of done the comparison test.
Now we shall never know for sure
You all know what it's like when you get a sound?
Don't think as you want to know what it is,
get all excited and you hope it doesn't turn out to be junk.
Once we dug down over a foot, we wished we had of brought the 5000 along.. As by that stage we were 80 % sure it was going to be gold
it was way to late by then.

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
It could not have happened to better people.
A just reward for you (lack of) faith in the 7000
Please leave some for us users of outdated, outmoded, worn out old detectors from Minelab
Better take a chainsaw as well as Bill's garden tools
Good on ya!!!
Robert

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
Well done again Jen and Mike.....Minelab should knight you with the 'Order of Saving the Sinking Ship Award'....lol.......what's more it could not happen to two more deserving folk....and we all know your story/finds are the' real deal'...
perhaps Minelab could consider giving you the first of the new big coils for the 7000 when available...you continuing to find nuggets <which you no doubt will> is far more effective than any advertising blurb/ costs they could ever put out...
Good luck...Hoo Roo

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
Hmmmm? Not many gold bearing white pipe clay deposits up that way.
I recall working an outcrop back in the late seventies using a Relic Magnum 7. The ground was quiet so even that tecta worked ok there. ....That was the ONLY area that I could get any sense out of that tecta.

It has quartz through it.
If you notice pictures can lie.. Look at real estate.. Gee don't some of the houses look clean and neat
I have given HOBO'Sgold the USB stick to upload to YouTube for us.
He is out with our son, trying the new beast at the moment.
So once he gets back home and he has the time, he will put it on for all of us.

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
Gee Robert & Larry
What can I say..
BOTH. For your kinds words..
Robert.. I won't be buying the new machine either ....I too will be using the older ones..
But now again I might sneak by, when Mike isn't looking and take it for a swing.
Only one problem. I will still need him to dig the holes
Did you hear that Bill!!!!!! Bring your chainsaw
*********************
Wouldn't that be nice Larry.. If minelab would let the boys use the new coils when they first come out.
But I doubt it
I know our young fella would put it through it's paces.

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
I cn see tha qtz but the rest of the white stuff looks like kaolin ta me.
The place that I detected way back was a large area of exposed kaolin with narrow qtz reefs running through it. It had been heavily mined in the early days...Just a hot rocks toss from Dunolly.

Nah it didn't come from there.. Keep guessing
You will see the colour of the dirt and hole on the vid..
But please remember.... It's the first time I have used the camera.

Re: Had Doubts But Not Anymore.
The same day I did the Kaolin patch I also left a nice broard mellow signal in the ground just a tad down from the Matrix Reef (Rehola). Went back a couple of weeks later and the area had been pegged with a Mining Lease.
Why did I leave it in the ground?? Well it was very dark and stormy night, the hole was approx 2 foot deep, the signal was strong and I could not see the end of me pick, so I filled it in and planned to come back the following weekend. I was in the RAAF at the time so it was two weeks later.
I often wonder if anybody snagged a big nugg just a bit SE of the reef and down the hill a bit.
No gold left in Dunolly!!??
That's a bit like saying that a White pointer won't bite yer head off if you pat it tenderly on the nose.
